The Drawbacks of Using Drupal as a Blog...

I love Drupal, really I do... but I have to admit, there are certain features in which it lacks out of the box which are extremely useful to bloggers which after using WordPress for years, you sort of take for granted.

A good example of this is comment notification.

With WordPress, you receive email notification when you receive a comment or a comment is put into your moderation queue (though I've had trouble with the latter actually working), thus you don't miss things.

Drupal doesn't do this out of the box. I know it's possible to set it up using the actions.module (though, I'm currently sketchy on details and probably will have to corner someone to help me), but the documentation on that seems to be sorely lacking or I just haven't been able to find it. (Once I figure out how to do it, I *will* write documentation damnit!)

It's the little things, really.

If I didn't spend my days working with Drupal, I probably wouldn't have chosen to use it for simply a blog though.

HI, I added you to my crochet me list

Thanks for the invite, I added you to my crochet me buddy list. I see you are a spinner too! and a secret knitter, ahh who cares which method is used. I do them all and combine them in projects too.
