Merry Christmas!
I am seriously ashamed at how much yarn porn I have to share right now... I went absolutely nuts last week, not only did The Loopy Ewe do an update that included Yarntini, which was a "must buy" occasion but Miss Violet did a destashing sale and ermm... a lot of her yarn managed to make it into my stash. I also bought some stuff from Artsygal, but we decided it would be best if she shipped with my club shipment in January. Oh yeah, and I got a Yarn Pirate Booty Club shipment too... So, major stash over enhancement. I won't bore you with all of it, I'll just share the really good stuff.
This month's Yarn Pirate Booty Club sock yarn... Icicle.
Yarntini cashmere in Vintage Variegated, I also got the sock yarn in the same colorway from Miss V.
Yarntini cashmere in Fig & Plum Variegated.
Miss V also sent me a bunch of buttons in my second package from her along with some random fabric, tea, and a little bit of candy. I'm especially thankful for the buttons though, now I don't have to steal them from my mom because I have a bit of a button stash of my own now.... and now I can finish the bib I started making and then pushed to hibernation because I had no buttons.
I've been busy on the knitting front too, but I haven't taken any progress photos lately. I finally turned the heel on the second Jaywalker sock so I'm working slowly on the foot and maybe I'll get it done this century.
I've been working on Clapotis as well, and I'm a little over halfway done with that...
I also finished up half of a pair of LaLa Mittens, though I seem to have an itty bit of a problem.. I have a hole where I attached the thumb...
I'm not really sure what the best way to fix that is... I guess I'll have to take it with me tomorrow to my parents to see if my mom has any bright ideas. I've cast on the second one, but I've only knitted a row on it. It'll be a pretty quick knit though, it only took me two days of knitting on and off to do the first one.
But anyway, I'm off... Merry Christmas, everyone!

*drools over the yarn* the Yarn Pirate one is especially nice!
woohoo on the Jaywalkers. I finally turned the heel on the one I started in, oh, Dec 2006. (in my defense, it's mostly been knit during holiday traveling over the past two years, and I had to rip and re-knit parts of it soooo many times). maybe I'll have a finished set of socks by 2010
