I've done a few more layouts lately other than the RAKed ones, and I figure it's about time to show off.

I must be having a streak of good luck this week! I was RAKed again, this time by Boyerville Scraps with her new kit, Affirmation which is currently available at the Benevolent Boutique.

We kicked off the holiday weekend in style going out to dinner at Z with our friend Kyle.... and promptly missed the fireworks that we had intended to go see. Not that I'm surprised. For the past two years, we've spent several holidays that traditionally have fireworks with Kyle and every single time, we have missed the fireworks. We tentatively made plans to try again tomorrow. We'll see if that happens.

I guess I've totally been on a roll with this scrapbooking thing this weekend... I think I need to take a time out to knit!

Since my life is still infinitesimally boring, I bring you more scrapbooking!

I finally figured out this week why The GIMP kept crashing. I knew all along that it had something to do with memory, but I couldn't quite put my figure on what... All I knew was that when I was running out of available memory, 90% of the time The GIMP would not handle it gracefully. My computer would lock up or The GIMP would just randomly quit.

I accomplished quite a bit scrap wise this week... Probably more than I should have.

I made this one for the Fresh Meat challenge at Elemental Scraps. This month's challenge was to do some photo editing and touch ups. I removed some blemishes, whitened my teeth and did some color adjustments.

Don't ask how I managed to get three scrapbooking layouts done today among all the other random stuff that I did today... but I guess I was inspired... and The GIMP only crashed once! Yay!

For the It's Elementary Dear Scrapper challenge:

In honor of Matt's 29th birthday which is next weekend, we decided to upgrade our camera. We now are the proud owners of a Canon Rebel XTi... It takes pretty snazzy photos.

We also hosted the second NH Ubuntu LoCo meeting this weekend, which gave me lots of time to spend knitting and spinning. I completed a two socks, and spun up a single... and I also finished up somedigital scrapbook layouts on this weekend. Creative things abound!

Among other things, I've spent part of this weekend tinkering with The GIMP, and in the process managed to come up with two scrapbook layouts.

One of Claire and Wyatt for the May technique challenge at GoDigitalScrapbooking which was to use a page template that was inspired to look like a quilt.

I feel like I did a little bit of everything this weekend.... A little bit of knitting, a little bit of digiscrapping, a little bit of spinning, a little bit of playing video games, a little bit of reading (gasp!) and in the end, accomplished very little. But tis the nature of taking a med holiday.

I was going to take some pictures of my craftiness, but alas.... My camera ran out of battery power, so now the batteries are charging, so all I have to show right now is the digiscrapping I've done.
