Only Four and Half Lace Repeats to Go!
The Elfine's Socks have been on the needles for well over a year now. I don't know if I'd call this pair so much a victim of second sock syndrome as I would "I fucked up the lace pattern and am too lazy to tink back three rows to fix my error right now" happening every time I touched the project.
I decided to revisit it tonight and fix my error... and I decided to move it off of the DPNs and onto two circulars, which seems to be my preferred method for socks as of late... Plus, the pattern is a little better suited for two circs than four DPNs... It wasn't easy to break up the repeats across the row and be even... On the foot, there were three repeats across, I had it so there were two repeats on the first needle, and one on the second, just so I could remember where I was when I changed to the next needle, but not having an even number of stitches per needle is annoying... The two circs are so much more balanced. Not surprising, I think the pattern was originally designed with magic loop in mind.
There are four and a half more lace repeats to go on this sock. Maybe I'll finish it up this century.
